Jorge Posada is a Puerto Rican professional baseball player. He was a catcher. He played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees.

Jorge was born in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico, to a Cuban father, Jorge Posada, and to a Dominican Republic mother. His uncle, Leo Posada, was also a professional baseball player. Jorge is married to model, actress, and attorney Laura Mendez, with whom he has two children.

One of Jorge’s grandfathers is named Saúl Posada De las Casas.
